Az alkalmazott nyelvészet tárgykörében nemzetközi konferenciasorozatot indítunk angol és magyar nyelvű szekciókkal. Ennek első eseménye a 2021. novemberi online konferenciánk.
A konferencia célja az alkalmazott nyelvészet fogalmát tágan értelmezve olyan kutatásokat bemutatni, amelyek fennálló nyelvhasználati/nyelvi/kommunikációs társadalmi problémákat elemeznek, és arra reális megoldást javasolnak nyelvészeti eszközökkel, interdiszciplináris megközelítésben. A konferenciára társadalmilag felelős tudományos témákban várunk előadásokat. Konferenciánk elsősorban a kevésbé ismert alkalmazott nyelvészeti kutatásokat, vagy a még ismeretlen (nem közismert) nyelvi dilemmák vizsgálatát karolja fel, valamint ismert problémák új, innovatív elemzését, a megoldási javaslatok kidolgozását részesíti előnyben. Az oktató-kutató kollégák mellett doktoranduszok, hallgatók jelentkezését is szívesen fogadjuk.
A konferencia tématerületei: kommunikációkutatás (manipulatív nyelvhasználat, orvos–beteg, tanár–diák kommunikáció, vészhelyzeti kommunikáció stb.), igazságügyi területek, gazdaság, egészségügy, kereskedelem, diplomácia, turisztika, sport, oktatás, nyelvi jogok, informatika, műszaki területek, természettudomány, repülésbiztonság stb. Tematikus szekciók, kerekasztalok szervezését is tervezzük, valamint online lektorált tanulmánykötet (ISBN-számmal) megjelentetését is.

We are launching an international conference series on topics of applied linguistics with sessions in English and Hungarian. Our first conference will be held in November 2021 online.
For the purpose of our conference, we would like to take the meaning of applied linguistics in its broadest sense and also aim to present research analysing potential linguistic/communication/social problems and to offer real solutions via linguistic means from an interdisciplinary perspective. We are inviting scientific papers to be presented at our conference on the theme of socially responsible linguistics. Our conference primarily explores and prioritizes less widely known topics of applied linguistics and the research of still unknown (or not widely known) linguistic dilemmas; moreover, it calls for new, innovative analyses of known problems and the elaboration of solutions. Besides our teacher-researcher colleagues, we also welcome applications from students.
The conference themes include: researching communication (manipulative language use, doctor-patient and teacher-student communication, communication in emergency situations, etc.), forensic linguistics, economics, healthcare, commerce, diplomacy, tourism, sports, education, language rights, informatics, engineering, natural sciences, aviation safety, etc. We are planning to organise thematic sections and roundtables and would also like to publish an on-line peer-reviewed collection of papers (with ISBN number).
